Living Items are special items which automatically adjust to the level of the character using them. They can be purchased or acquired only through special event promotions in the game. The Stormblade is offered through the Stormblade deal and the Stormgun is offered through the Stormgun deal.

Items Edit

Currently the only obtainable items of this kind are the Stormblade and Stormgun. The Skybreaker was previously offered as a special promotion in 2015, while the Ironbound Cape made its first appearance in April 2017. Living Items are available shortly after a new player begins playing (more specifically, after completing level 3 of Act I) and cost 99 cents (USD) to purchase. Whenever a player's character first becomes eligible to take the offer, the offer activates and becomes available for a limited time, after which there is no way to acquire the Living Item again, or get the offer back if you did not take it. The Stormblade can be used by the Warrior and Mage classes, while the Stormgun can only be utilised by Bounty Hunters.

Sockets Edit

Sockets for gemstones are not guaranteed with Living Items. However, you can add a socket by spending gems just as you would with regular items (the cost is lower when at the lower levels of your hero class).

Quality type Edit

When buying your Living Item, only Epic versions of the item will be available, and not Legendary. However, the special bonus is the same as it would be on a Legendary-level item.

Level cap Edit

If the level cap is increased, your Living Item will be leveling up with your hero again to the new maximum level. To be able to level up the item, you'll have to use it with the character you first accepted the offer with, and not other Heroes.

Bonus Edit

All Living Items give a certain bonus that is affected by their type and quality, such as the Chain Lightning chance as seen in the Stormblade above.
